MP Secures Meeting over KNUCKLE Project

Nuneaton MP Marcus Jones has secured a meeting with the Transport Secretary, Philip Hammond, to discuss proposals to build a new train station at the Ricoh Arena on the Coventry to Nuneaton line. Marcus made his representations about the project during questions to the Transport Secretary on October 26 stating that the rail upgrade would be extremely important in opening up further job opportunities for people living in Nuneaton, many of whom depend on Coventry for their employment.

Local MP Signs Up to Support Small Businesses in Nuneaton

Nuneaton MP Marcus Jones has expressed his support for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) to “Keep Trade Local”. The campaign is part of an effort to celebrate and build on partnerships that have been made with the local business community. At an event organised by the FSB on Friday 17 July, Marcus joined representatives from local authorities and businesses to share best practice in how to effectively support small businesses.

MP Briefed by Age Concern

Nuneaton MP Marcus Jones has been briefed in Parliament by Age Concern Warwickshire about the work that they do in the county. Chief Executive Elizabeth Phillips, Chairman Mike Stevens and Treasurer Chris Long-Leather travelled to Westminster to meet with Warwickshire MPs to discuss the services they provide to older people in Warwickshire.
